Banksy vs. Robbo

March 4, 2010

The street art battle is getting real thick.

Robbo, an orginator and pioneer of street art.  A legend in England.

Banksy, you know the dealz.

Simply, Banksy covered up a 25 year old classic Robbo piece on a canal wall under a bridge.  The piece which once read ROBBO INC. was now banksified below.

Robbo then stepped out of retirement at 40 yrs old to regain his legacy.

Peep the Wall Street Journal article for more crazy pics.  I wish I was there to throw a few RIFF 89’s in the mix.

Blur Reunites

February 27, 2009

blur1Blur‘s frontman, Damon Albarn, now more commonly known (at least in the US) for being the genius being the project, Gorillaz,  had his old friend & former blur guitarist, Graham Coxon, reunite with him and the band a few months back. Goddamn, I just used a shitload of commas. Anyway, aside from the hit we all know (i’m an asshole for even linking this song), this band was one of the most influential during the time they were together and held it down. After Coxon’s departure in 2001 and then being completely disbanded since 2004, they’ve officially announced their return with a few tour dates, one which includes headlining England’s Glatsonbury Festival. Peep the cutesy video below.

My dude, Dizzee Rascal, was arrested last Friday in England for an incident involving a baseball bat.  Congrats to the Boy In Da Corner. Apparently according to this video, he predicted this a long time ago.

“And if its on top you know I got that / Come through with a big baseball bat”
