It’s Not Meant To Be =(
March 3, 2010From South Philly Where The Hammers are Clapped
March 3, 2010Haven’t seen The Roots perform in a while, aside from the little Fallon shizen they do.
Reminds me of the good ol’ Okayplayer days. And beer. It’s actually kinda weird to think that The Roots make me feel nostalgic to the point where I want to cut my hair into a short spikey fade and live a life as a Okayplayer message board junky.
Whateverz, great way to end the Winter Olympics.
I miss Hub.

To help save this mural, you can go to the Abztract site and purchase “THE MURAL”.
Crazy shize.

We’ve Got Stickers: LA is Getting Covered
March 1, 2010We lost the battle, but we absolutely love quesadillas. When you’re about to get on a bus, look at a pole nearby, chances are you’ll see this sticker. When you’re working out at the gym, look out the window, chances are I’ll be standing there holding this sticker. When you are having dinner with the Mrs. and little Johnny, ask to be excused from the table and go look in her purse, you’ll find this sticker. New Kingdom takes shit from no one. We love everyone.
Gorillaz, Mos Def, Bobby Womack, Bruce Willis: Stylo
March 1, 2010We’re driving to Vegas in that car for March Madness.
I want to get Bruce Willis’s face tattooed on my outer left bicep.

How Many Billboards?
February 28, 2010If you guys are wondering about all the random billboards that aren’t ads, but art pieces, this is an exhibition that the MAK Center for Art and Architecture is putting on.
The philosophical proposition of the exhibition is simple: art should occupy a visible position in the cacophony of mediated images in the city, and it should do so without merely adding to the visual noise. How Many Billboards? Art In Stead proposes that art periodically displace advertisement in the urban environment.
I caught some pics while driving today down La Brea to our shithole of a studio. Just kidding, it’s sexier than Fabio’s hair after he steps out the shower. But the point is, let’s see who can spot all 21 billboards first. Winner gets a massive make-out sesh. With me.
The cloudy sky billboard above is from the lovely artist Kerry Tribe.
Below is from photographer James Welling.
Don’t thank me for the high quality photos, thank Blackberry.

B*ners In Bed
February 26, 2010As much as I can’t even count on one hand how many honors this fine motion picture masterpiece has received, I am confident this will only fuel your hate for me and my family. Boners In Bed was something Noah and I made years ago. and often inside jokes don’t translate well, especially with minimal dialogue for more on this issue please see Juiceface.
Air Guitar: The Power of the Bulge

Anthony Ausgang Bugs Out w/ MGMT
February 17, 2010Anthony Ausgang is doing the artwork for MGMT’s album Congratulations.
His “lowbrow art” is creating thick looney tune-like nostalgia, except a little more disturbing and slightly more perverted.
Real dope.
Peep the article at BoingBoing.

Lonely Cementface
February 17, 2010“Bad” Mural in Brooklyn
February 17, 2010I was wondering when they were gonna do this.
The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership negotiated an agreement to create a mural of the late King of Pop at the entrance of the Hoyt-Schermerhorn train station.
The location holds special significance because the Hoyt-Schemerhorn station is where director Martin Scorsese directed Jackson in the iconic 1987 music video “Bad.”
Just another reason to take a band trip to nyc.
