Last of the Polaroids

August 21, 2009

Next Friday exclusively @ Urban Outfitters, the last of the Polaroids will be sold. I heard they’re making a big deal about, and it’s gonna run about $120. I think I’m gonna have to cop one. Don’t trip on buying it since they’re discontinuing the camera, other companies have picked up the manufacturing of the photos, so you can stay locked in 1984 all the way through 2010 (and more).

Giant Robots

June 19, 2009

This is exactly why we have to move to Japan.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the mecha anime/manga/toy/video game franchise, this 18-meter-tall (59-foot-tall) RX-78 has been erected.

No seriously, this is one of the illest things on the planet right now.

I Want a New Blackberry

May 21, 2009

100th-anniversarySomething like this…

With a retail price of roughly $1,500 USD. Celebrating their 100th Anniversary, famed UK Department Store, Selfridges continues to showcase product from their Centenary Collection. Offering a plethora of various collaborative product already, this latest project finds the retailer paired alongside BlackBerry. Utilizing the Bold model in a Pantone Yellow 109 leather-bound colorway, this extremely limited edition phone features a production run of only 10 units, in the stores signature color choice.

That’s all I’m asking for.

But you know what, they probably don’t have problem with your Hi-C ripoff. That’s because they don’t know these juice boxes are 35mm cameras. Pretty ill indeed. You get where I’m going….

Cadillac Doesn’t Need Gas for 100 Years

March 4, 2009

This is the World Thorium Fuel Concept for the 100th anniversary of Cadillac. Designed to last 100 years without maintenance and without gas.

“This vehicle is designed to last 100 years without a fuel-up. The surplus power generated from its Thorium reactor can be used to give back to the grid, power a neighborhood, or recharge other electric battery-equipped devices.

Some big ass tires.

Flying F*cking Cars

February 27, 2009

Audi, for some reason, has a concept for a flying car called Shark, designed by Kazim Doku

The two-seater flying sportscar is inspired by the motorclycles and airplanes and offers its passengers “strong sensations and high levels of safety.”

This thing looks more like it should be driven underwater. Nonetheless, this is no doubt very sexual.

Electronic Cigarette?

February 19, 2009

While stealing legally purchasing software on the net, I got a pop up window about an electronic cigarette.
And after careful review of this video, I have determined that Hulk Hogan’s “Thunderizer” was a better invention.

It Ain’t Christmas Yet

February 18, 2009

“There will be two versions, one with a 155 HP engine and the other with 215 HP. Top speed of the 215 HP model is expected to easily exceed 40 mph (64 km/h), and flight ceiling will still be restricted to 28 feet (8.5 m) for safety reasons. Future versions of JETLEV-FLYER could reach speeds in excess of 50 mph, altitudes of 50 feet, cruise duration of 5 hours, range exceeding 180 miles, and carry payloads in excess of 1000 lbs. Ultimately, it is largely safety considerations, not technical limitations that will dictate the limits of design.

Check out the training videos. Ridiculous

The Poo Machine

February 2, 2009

Cloaca No. 5 is a mechanized sculpture by Belgian Wim Delvoye. It reproduces the human digestive system. At the end of the pipe, the machine takes a dump, straight up, and they come out vacuum-sealed.

“I wanted to make something that is absurdly unnecessary…” Wim Delvoye explained his creative process: “I don’t think this biologically correct machine belongs in a science museum. I don’t have that ego. I’m not helping sick people. I’m practically useless in society.”
